We all know the phenomenon: you faithfully attend a workshop and then, coming back home and putting the reader you received next to its predecessors, you go back to work and nothing has changed. The problem with most of these courses, is that they aim at teaching you ‘tricks', which only work under the exact same circumstances. Stipo, therefore, does not teach courses, but gives ‘on the job' training which is tailored to the specific needs and targets of the client - in this case, Goedereede.

"A performer reproduces ever more artistically, an artist keeps inventing new things. I am an artist."

Learning by application
A training rooted in daily practice. Not simply gathering knowledge, but insight: why, how, daring to discover and make use of opportunities. The training links daily practice to strategy development and solution-oriented working. Gained insight is applied immediately. Central to the training are cases from the work place.
The starting point is ‘learning by application'. Participants follow a varied programme of knowledge enrichment, inspiration from practices elsewhere, open mind, solution-oriented working and acting in the ‘new' local government. Learning by application ensures that the results are implemented in the organisation.
Government
Government is increasingly using governance, standing between rather than above other parties. This requires new ways of working: it is no longer possible to manage and regulate from behind a desk: government officials need to have both feet firmly in society, daring to develop initiatives together with other stakeholders.
All this makes working for the (local) government more exiting and interesting, but also more complex. Knowledge alone is no longer enough: Insight, understanding of processes, methods and the use of tools are essential. New skills are called for: entrepreneurship and leadership, project-based working and process management, creativity and innovative power, acting strategically and involving external parties.
Our method acknowledges this by training personal work methods and attitude, group processes and collective work methods.
